I did use turmeric! I was just scared because the recipe shows it cooked, and it looks just like yellow eggs. Maybe it was a weird combination of the specific turmeric and mung beans? Or maybe my tap water is bad? I should stop drinking tap water anyway.

Some areas have dangerous things like arsenic or radon in the groundwater, especially if you live near granite. Not all places treat the water well, especially if you get it from a well or similar system.

Maybe there’s a way to test the tap water for stuff like that?
