I’m a vegan trans woman (19) who ran away from home. Currently, a court case is going on since my parents tried to confine me. originally I’m from India and have been free from my house for three months, got a laptop nearly 10 days ago thanks to a friend who was willing to pay for the installments. I am skilled in guitar and writing of any kind. I don’t even know where to begin, how to earn money, how to make a resume or a portfolio and the current state of the job market seems all too overwhelming. I had to drop college too since if I went back my safety would be at risk. It’s driving me crazy since I am living alone as well, and I have no idea what to do when a lot of things need to be done at once and time is ticking. With my current savings I can survive another two months but that’s it. I would appreciate some advice and preferably some help, maybe any of you knows someone who can hire me I would delve deeper into my story but that strays from the actual purpose of the post, perhaps I’ll make another post and link that here.
Hello, I’m from India. What subjects did you study in college, please? Without a degree, it’s challenging to find work in a safe environment in our nation. You may sign up for a variety of online courses. I could assist you if you could provide me with some of your details.
Investigate this website. They assist LGBT people in reaching safety, particularly if they are from nations where their safety may be at jeopardy. They can provide money and housing.

Best wishes for your future
as you’re vegan, I’d like to make a brief observation: if you’ll be stuck in this scenario for months, it could be a good idea to take some multivitamins on a regular basis, as you probably don’t have access to a wide variety of vegan foods right now. Anything inexpensive that provides essential nutrients that you can purchase at the drugstore or market.
In terms of diet, attempt to consume low-cost, high-calorie, high-protein foods such as rice, beans, chickpeas, and lentils; wheat, cereal, roti, and bread; soy products, such as tempeh, tofu, and soy milk; nuts; etc.
From the US, my cisgender sister is sending love and good thoughts without offering any guidance.
Which state do you live in right now?
If you can, try to locate a nearby NGO that genuinely assists transgender persons. I’m not sure if that exists in your state. They will definitely assist.
Create a Fiverr account and post gigs to market your skills and services.
If you do not already have an account on LinkedIn, create one. Many Indian organizations that I noticed want to hire remote workers, and many of them are searching for content writers to work for them on-site.
On Fiverr and Reddit (various for-hire subs + there’s the slave-labor sub if you’re ready to take low pay rates), you can advertise as a guitar tutor for online lessons.
Additionally, look for a local job. Although the side jobs might help you last a little while longer, you’ll probably also want something more steady.
This should help
Hello! I would advise looking for cleaning jobs if you’re considering ways to make money. I can’t claim to be familiar with Indian culture, but cleaning positions are typically straightforward and widely available. I’ve cleaned before, and I want to do it again in the future. If you’re a trans person and find that dealing with people all the time adds a lot of stress to an already emotionally taxing position, it may also be beneficial to work at a profession that doesn’t need you to deal with others.
Other than that, being vegan helps with prices, but that is unrelated to the subject.
However, activism is something you may do for compensation occasionally.
Eating vegan cuisine doesn’t cost more than eating meat. Simply stay away from products that promote a socially constructed vegan identity and keep to being “accidentally vegan.”
Except for how liberal Westerners perceive transphobia in everything, Indian culture is not transphobic.
Hello, sis I’m very sorry that this is where you’re at.
Do you have a place to stay that is secure? Finding a place to live while you get your life back on track should be your priority. Either a friend or perhaps you could look for someone online, although I would be cautious about that. In my opinion, you should only trust a stranger in this kind of circumstance if they are also transgender.
Once that’s done, all you need to do is look for work and save money until you can start renting an apartment; alternatively, might you buy a van and live in it? I sincerely hope that things improve for you shortly.
Since you’re vegan and you probably don’t have access to a large selection of vegan foods at the moment, it might be a good idea to take multivitamins daily if you find yourself in this scenario for several months. Anything inexpensive that provides essential nutrients that you can purchase at the drugstore or market.
