No, she still made it with mashed potatoes but added Mexican spices and jalapeños. She also used lentils and mushrooms and some other stuff that neither of us can remember now. Best meal I’ve ever had! Too bad she doesn’t remember how to make it anymore haha. We don’t really follow recipes… everything is a little different each time.

Thank you for this recipe. I made a double batch of this as one big pie for a holiday potluck last year and it was a huge hit with vegans and omnis alike. I only got a tiny scoop! I used regular mashed potatoes instead of the cauliflower mix, and added balsamic vinegar since I left out the stout. A lot of people asked for the recipe, and I’ve been requested to make two pies for this year’s potluck!
