So, last holiday season I tried the Quorn Roast for the first time, and I loved it so much I’ve been planning to grab it again this year. I’ve been checking around since fall started but can’t find it anywhere in the Pacific Northwest! Has anyone else had trouble finding it? Any tips for tracking one down before the holidays? Appreciate any advice you all have!

Where did you find it last year? I can usually get it easily here on the East Coast, but not sure how that’ll help you!

Last year I got it at Whole Foods, but they haven’t had it yet this season. I’m jealous of your year-round access!
Same here. I used to find it regularly, but now I have to drive an hour to get it. If you can find some, I’d suggest stocking up. I like to use it not just for the holidays but also for sandwiches throughout the year.
@Mason
I was planning on doing that with the leftovers! Trying not to hoard it though so that there’s enough for everyone since it seems to be getting more popular!
Have you checked Whole Foods? I usually have luck finding it there around the holidays. I also see the Gardein roast sometimes. I’m in Chicago, though, so not sure if it’s the same where you are.

I see the Gardein one sometimes, but I’m not sure about the stuffing inside. What do you think of it?
@Phoenix
It’s actually pretty good! I used to get the Quorn one but switched to the Gardein because I liked it more. They even have smaller roasts or cutlets that work for smaller meals.

That’s great to hear! I’ll keep my eyes open for it. Thanks a lot for the tip!
@Phoenix
No problem! Good luck with your turkey alternative hunt!

Yeah, I agree. Gardein has better options than Quorn for these kinds of meals.

Just grabbed the Gardein Roast myself and can’t wait to try it. It looks really tasty!
I work at Whole Foods and we just put it out for the Thanksgiving season, so you should see it on display soon!
This makes me feel like I need to go to my local store and check immediately!
I haven’t seen it for ages. I’ve got at least six grocery stores nearby, but none of them carry it. Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Central Market are a bit farther, but I might try them soon.
The Gardein roast is a decent option, though.
@Vega
I might be in the same situation! A Trader Joe’s employee mentioned they might get it back, but it hasn’t appeared yet. Trying to stay hopeful!

Quick update - I ended up getting a Gardein roast because I couldn’t find the Quorn one. Planned to save it for Thanksgiving, but my freezer’s small, so I decided to cook it early. I’ve enjoyed it before, but this time it was a letdown. The texture was off, and the flavor wasn’t what I remembered.
So I’m probably done with it!
@Vega
Oh no, that’s disappointing! Thanks for letting me know.
This recipe might be worth a try:
It’s not too hard to make!
If you have a 7th Day Adventist store nearby, they usually carry Quorn products all year. Just a heads up if you have mold allergies, though; Quorn is mold-based, and it can cause reactions. I only react to blue cheese otherwise, but Quorn really affected me.
